As of January 27, 2026, 241 Reassessment Survey responses have been received. Of that total, ninety-nine percent (99%) of respondents indicated an interest in having the original 2025 Town-wide Reassessment redone because of suspected inaccuracies in the original reassessment.
According to Wis. Stat. 70.75, to appeal to the Wisconsin Department of Revenue (DOR) to re-do the 2025 Reassessment, a petition must be completed showing that at least five percent (5%) of property owners, as determined by the total assessed value of the Town, favor having a new reassessment.
According to DOR records, Grand Chute’s total assessed value was calculated to be $4.515 billion as a result of the 2025 Reassessment. The 2024 total assessed value was $3.045 billion.
This difference represents a 48.3 percent (48.3%) increase in the total value of taxable Town properties. Residential properties experienced a 57.0% average increase in value, while commercial properties had an average valuation increase of 38.9%.
